Willemite is a simple zinc silicate mineral named in honor of King Willem of the Netherlands (Levy, 1830). Willemite here forms a vein of tightly packed pale yellow to orange hexagonal crystals cutting calcite-franklinite ore. The maximal crystal length is 3 mm. There are a few scattered pockets hosting microscopic crystal with terminations.
This specimen comes with a vintage John S. Albanese mineral label.
