Friedelite crystals! - Sold

Friedelite is a layer silicate mineral containing manganese, originally found in the Pyrénées. Bertrand (1876) named the mineral after French mineralogist Charles Friedel (1822-1899). Dunn (1995) describes friedelite from Franklin and Sterling Hill. In this example a composite crystal measures about 5 mm across, which is large for the locality. Additionally, this example shows a luscious pink color, much like bubble gum. A fine example!

This specimen comes with a Paterson Museum label.
