Uranocircite - Sold

Uranocircite is a uranyl phosphate mineral. Wiesbach (1877) named the mineral for its uranium content and from the Greek for falcon. This specimen hosts a central 6 by 7 mm rectangular crystal, on a bed of crystalline calcite. Quite showy for a rarer member of the autunite group.

This specimen was part of the personal collection of Ralph Merrill, proprietor of the prolific mail order business Minerals Unlimited. Merrill's collection card and label also ship with the specimen.
