Sabugalite - Sold

Sabugalite is a hydrated aluminum uranyl phosphate related to autunite. Frondel (1951) named the mineral after its original occurrence in Sabugal County, Portugal. The mineral forms platy crystals to 2 mm on a fracture surface on this specimen. Quite rich for the mineral. An old label indicates the specimen came from Brian Mason at the American Museum of Natural History (New York) in May 1959.
