Diegogattaite (IMA 2012-096), Lavinskyite, Wesselsite - Sold

Diegogattaite is a sodium calcium copper silicate mineral named after mineralogist G. Diego Gatta, mineralogist at the University of Milan. Diegogattaite has monoclinic symmetry and the crystal structure has been solved (Welch et al. 2012). The mineral occurs in massive quartz with wesselsite and lavinskyite. The type specimen of diegogattaite was trimmed from this larger specimen. There do not seem to have been any additional finds of this mineral. Rare!
