Diaboleite is a lead copper oxychloride mineral. Spencer and Mountain (1923) named the mineral "dia-" boleite to distinguish the mineral from boleite, which is chemically and ostensibly similar. This is a typical matrix of iron stained quartz from this locality, hosting platy diaboleite crystals to 3 mm.
