Agrinierite is a hydrated potassium calcium uranium oxide Cesbron et al. (1972). The mineral name honor Henri Agrinier (1928-1971), mineralogist at the French Atomic Energy Commission. This specimen hosts yellow-orange aggregates scattered over contrasting matrix. The aggregates appear to be crude pseudomorphs after blocky crystals of a precursor mineral. This specimen was part of the personal collection of Ralph Merrill, proprietor of the prolific mail order business Minerals Unlimited.
