Jagoite is a complex lead silicate mineral named in honor of Jack Jago Trelawney (1909-2001) (Blix et al. 1957). Jack Jago was a mineral collector and important benefactor for the Smithsonian Institution and the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History. This is a specimen of brownish yellow-green platy crystals embedded in manganese ore. The jagoite bearing area measures 1.1 cm across. Rare type and only locality material.
