Fluellite - Sold


Fluellite is an aluminum phosphate mineral named after the fluorine (fluate) in its composition. is an iron phosphate dihydrate (Levy, 1824). This specimen has aggregates of white crystals to 6 mm, sitting on oxidized magnetite matrix. An excellent specimen for the locality. The crystals show contacting on their edges; these specimens formed in small pockets. This specimen was purchased in Sweden in 1994, from the collection of Dennis Holmberg. This could be trimmed into an excellent thumbnail.
