Descloizite is a lead zinc vanadate mineral, widespread globally in oxidized ore deposits. The Berg Aukus mine in Namibia however developed the world's largest crystals, often with spear-shaped and ax-head shaped crystals. This specimen shows serrated crystals to 2.4 cm. An attractive display specimen, with minimal microscopic chipping to the crystals. The color varies from a rich root beer color in the cores to dark brown at the crystal edges. Classic material. Nice!
